Collinpur Beach, located in the southern Andaman, is the residence of enchanting cobalt water and the tranquil stretch of smooth sand. The exotic Collinpur beach also has a thick veil of palm plantations. The offbeat location of Collinpur Beach makes it one of the most favourite destinations in Port Blair, free from the crowd.
It is also known as 'Sunset Bay'. The beach of Collinpur is U-shaped with ocean clouds floating around seawater. Piles of Smooth sand cover the beach and the dense vegetation in the region exhibit multiple shades of green. The enchanting blend of great green tropical forests and knotted trunks of old trees make the place very picturesque and offers a beautiful backdrop to the azure waters that cross the coast.
This island is 36 kilometres from the city of Port Blair and is easily accessible via road.
Cabs: If you are looking for the most convenient way to reach this location, private cabs are your best bet. Private travel companies in Andaman provide cab services to all major tourist attractions.
Rental: Rental services for two-wheeler vehicles is a choice. Hiring two-wheelers and going round the nearby places connected to the park may be a good option.
Since the beach is on the outskirts of the city, it is relatively cleaner and quieter. Being covered by dense vegetation, you won't know that you're near the sea until you see it. It is a long stretch flanked by a hill on one side, and since the gradient is not steep, it is ideal for sunbathing.
Due to the low water, the Collinpur beach is also suitable for swimming. Watching the sunset and basking in the glory of the sun can be a memorable experience on the beach. It is indeed a beautiful escape into nature's arms. At both ends of this small beach are Japanese bombers from World War II.
An excellent option for honeymoon couples, the beach provides a serene and peaceful ambience. What's even more tempting is the fact that exquisite strips of sand lapped by emerald waters await your arrival. The scenery and tranquillity of Collinpur Beach make it an unforgettable experience. With a lovely contrast of the pristine blue waters and the pure white sand, it's undoubtedly one of the best-secluded beaches out there. If your idea of paradise is serene and postcard-perfect landscape, then Collinpur beach is the perfect choice for a getaway.
