Veer Savarkar Park is located right in front of the Cellular Jail in Port Blair, the capital town of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. You can come here to get some rest after your visit to the jail or while you are waiting for your chance to attend the light and sound show. You can witness the pride of the past in the form of a really good collection of statues of our freedom fighters. Refreshments like green coconuts and tea are sold by vendors there. The park also has a few rides for kids.
The pandemic crisis brought almost the whole world to a standstill. Nations went into lockdown and everyone was restricted to their homes. Companies relying heavily on an office presence for the completion of their tasks found a way to work from home. But this was temporary as industries had to open to prevent an economic meltdown. The world as we know it can’t function at such a slow pace.
There were a lot of changes. And most importantly, something had to change from our regular way of doing things. As a result, the way we travel changed, the way we communicated modified, and we even altered our way of greeting each other.
Now when travelling is slowly gaining pace, we would like to recommend that Veer Savarkar Park is a nice place to visit when you are in Port Blair. After getting some time from Cellular Jail, you can include this park in your itinerary of the Andamans.
